Andrés Gómez Emilsson

Co-Founder & Member of Advisory Board

Andrés co-founded ClusterFree and brings deep expertise in consciousness research to ClusterFree's Advisory Board. He's also Director of Research at the Qualia Research Institute. His pioneering research on valence has played a key role in emphasizing the urgency of addressing cluster headache pain, and his work has been instrumental in raising awareness for the potential of DMT as the most promising acute treatment.

He has given multiple talks on the use of psychedelics to treat chronic pain, including at TEDxMiami. His research also explores anti-tolerance drugs, using ibogaine to create friendlier opioids, and using chanca piedra to treat and prevent kidney stones, among others.

Andrés holds a master's in Psychology and a bachelor's in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University. He has also won multiple medals at various Mathematics Olympiads, and was awarded Mexico's Premio Nacional de la Juventud for Academic Achievements, the country's highest youth honour, awarded to only one student per year nationwide.
